For me the Hyper does get a BIT noisy at 100% when running push/pull. But really compared to your current 90mm set up you will probably find it whisper quite. Also because you are not overclocking the fan should not actually need to rev up to 100% at any point.

I booted my hyper out of my pc anfd put in a Water 2.0 pro closed loop water cooler. And to be honest with you I am very sorry I wasted all that money.thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif It does a worse job then the Hyper. I would put my Hyper back in if I could find where I put all the screws.... But I am going to build myself a custom loop so ya... thats my 2cents.gif

70% and below is a whisper and that might be the right speed since you are not overclocking, Bruce.

Do you have reviews where it outperforms the Hyper? Not trying to sound rude, but I don't see a cooler with less heatpipes and a slower fan beating the hyper?

My bad. Not sure how I missed that part about not overclocking. A closed loop cooler might be a bit excessive....but there is nothing wrong with having excessive cooling.

Wasn't sure at first if the Hyper 212+ would be quite enough to keep temps under 40C (friends with Hyper 212 EVO generally get 50 - 60C under load on a 2500k and 3550k), but checked a review and it looks like it would probably do it.

Also the Hyper 212 EVO and Hyper 212+ are on sale on newegg.ca right now (not sure where you are from)
