Turn everything in nVidia control panel down, except for performance settings. Set those at high performance.
You VoltMod your 7900GT?
can you show some Screen Shot of your 3Dmark06 Score please.

Well then that's cheating why would you ever sacrifice image quality for performance unless your GPU can't run a game?

Well none of you have got the same gpu he has; that score sounds ok to me, considering he's got a x2 3800 and just ddr500. If he had a C2D and some ddr2 800 he would probably hit around 5k,

and of course 7900gs<7900gt<7900gtx

I dont know what is the C2D stand for, But DDR800 is not much better than DDR500, Because Most the DDR800 runing with High Timing and DDR500 runing with way lower timing. Yea Faster Speed But Higher Timing. OverAll maybe 5-7% faster. and that is not give you 700 point more on 3dMark06.

No water cooler. I'm using a Big Typhoon and Silverstone FM121. Umm, I wish I could show a screenshot. As you can see from my ORB link, that was while I was using my DFI board that decided to break. Right now I'm using my Abit board that can't hold an overclock for beans, so I'm at stock CPU speeds right now. But, here are my settings in case you want to know. I remember them.

2600MHz (260x10)
1.375v
2.8v (vdimm)
DDR333 divider
2.5-3-3-7
HTT 3x

7900GT @ 631/1800 using coolbits 2.0

Simple overclock at best.

My video card might be a little hard. I have the KO Superclocked edition, which has higher voltages on the ram and core, so a similar overclock on a regular 7900GT is going to be pretty hard without a voltmod.

I do have a screenshot on photobucket, but forgot my password and failed log-in, so I have to try again later.
