, I'm not lying. Your friend needs to get a life if he thinks I'm lying. Its the free version, which defaults at 1280x1024, so no 1024x768. You can see the big freaking "REGISTER" button down at the bottom, which calls for you to buy 3dmark06. The retail version would not have that.

If he doesn't believe me, fine. I really couldn't care less.

Oh, and nice score.

Fla-> tnx for keeping it real

soo much yucky stuff in this post, where to begin.... hows this for starters...
Quote:
That score isnt right. On stock cpu and oced Gfx card i get 4226 on 3dmark06. Have u overclocked your gfx card yet?
-> did you forget you were using a C2D and comparing against a AMD?..

2nd->
Quote:
I dont know what is the C2D stand for, But DDR800 is not much better than DDR500, Because Most the DDR800 runing with High Timing and DDR500 runing with way lower timing. Yea Faster Speed But Higher Timing. OverAll maybe 5-7% faster. and that is not give you 700 point more on 3dMark06.
You dont know what C2D stands for...you really should NOT be advising anyone...period. Also the dofference between ddr500 and ddr800 is a couple of key factors....one being DDR and the other being DDR2....two commands per clock are far better than one. Also I saw a 10+ FPS improvement just by changing RAM from DDR2 667-> DDR2 900. There is only a 233mhz difference between those modules...not to mention they are BOTH DDR2....so needless to say, one would see a far BIGGER improvement in changing from ddr500 -> ddr2 800.

Last but not least-> running 3d anything and adjusting the resolution and then trying to compare scores makes you dumb...really it does. All freeware versions come w/ set res, so its easy to compare your rig to others. Its no surprise people turn down the Q features....DUH, but changing resolutions, is comparing apples and oranges.....yeah they are both fruit...of a different color.

and finally-> my 3d 06' score Attachment 37416

***? How could you have beaten my score by 530 points? We have nearly the same set up. I ran my benchmark on a clean install of XP.

X2 3800+ @ 2646MHz
2x1GB at 245MHz
7900GT at 620/1800
Defragged Raptor

We are running different drivers but that shouldn't account for that much of a difference. 12MHz core difference shouldn't matter either. The only other explanation is that you are running an older 3DMark06. You are using "Revision 0 Build 2" while I am on "Revision 1 Build 0". The Rev 0 is not detecting your Core/Memory Clock. Also, it especially doesn't make sense since your CPU score beats my faster processor.

I'm not sure. I'll run it again, but it'll be different since I'm going to be using this damned Abit board instead of my DFI, which is out for RMA. I'm also downloading the newest 3dmark06.

We'll see.
