Than your fans are defective or you are doing something wrong. My guess is you have them running full speed all the time with you ear 6" away.

TC12DX is a great cooler.
They will not clear all RAM. Depends on motherboard. Many have RAM slots closer than 54mm from centerline of CPU. wink.gif
H212 Evo anytime over the gammaxx if it's the same price
Of course it wouldn't clear RAM but rather what RAM can you install? RAMs with giant heatspreaders are utterly utterly pointless.
Why don't we have high performance RAM (2400MHz CL10+) without a giant heatspreader?
Read what I said! Most coolers clear 40mm RAM but not all cases will clear fan setting on top of it.

Don't know where you can find this but if you can,
http://www.overclock.net/t/1377869/deepcool-neptwin-one-of-the-most-insane-bang-for-buck-air-coolers
Or Zalman CNPS14x
They cool very well and if you are already going to buy fans for the other heatsinks then do it for the neptwin, they have weak but extremely quiet (On par with a noctua actually) and they could do with a change of fans. Just don't put noctua fans. They suck for the price
And also .. this HSF is nothing short of huge. It IS huge for it's price
