looking for anew video card

Thread Starter
so i have a 6970 with a block and i think im rdy to upgrade. Ive recently started streaming my gaming on twitch, and noticed some lag. I dont really have a budget, but im not going to waste money. Some games i play include war thunder, wow, lol, sim city, star conflict, company of heros, and borderlands. I game on my catleap at 1440p and use a 1080p screen as secondary and 1080 tv as my movies and such... most times im doing all of this at once. my cpu is a i5 2500k that can go up to 5.1 i have it at 4.5. Just looking for recommendations

Get yourself a nice 7970. Msi, asus would be the brands of my liking. 680 is more expensive but would be better IF you were to go dual gpu based on recent frametime and smoothness discussions between amd & nvidia.

Yes it will definately be an improvement. If you got the money go for it! Next gen cards are only due for the 4th quarter rumors say. If you need the performance boost for streaming go for it now. If you want the best bang for buck you could even go 7950 and oc the hell out of it. Check the top 30 valley benchmarks. 7950 is very high up.

If money isn't a problem, then grab the 7970...the card from MSI, Sapphire, Gigabyte, HIS they are a good card.

Want to save some money, then grab the 7950....I recommend 7950 from Sapphire or MSI HD 7950 TF III Boost Edition.
