People with fully open cases with more than 5 Fans have a hard time keeping their components below 70c, talk less that little case tongue.gif.

To me, those tiny things can never be quiet. Unless you are modding the crap out of it with custom water cooling, because both the H80i, H100i and Graphics card (especially the Titan) will run really hot due to lack of airflow and space, and It's almost impossible to get the performance you would get if you were using a good Mid-tower or full tower, but oh well..... redface.gif Some people like to trade of cooling, noise, and a little bit of performance for space rolleyes.gif

You should read the first post. The guy says it runs cool AND quiet. Those small cases are more efficient with airflow from what I've heard. The volume in the case is less so air gets refreshed faster and doesn't need to get pushed long distances.

I think you should reconsider your opinion and check out some SFF builds with high performance components. And of course it's just for style as well.

CPU temps for the hottest core (Core #1) are around 32C idle and 58C %100 load using Prime95 w/ max heat test for a very long time, same max temp result with Linpack. I'm not fully satisfied with these temps, guru3D has them at 26C idle and 50C %100 load with a 3770K & H90.

I'm not sure if the case is to blame however because the airflow appears to be great. I've tested with the case open and also cranked the crap out of the fans with not much difference. The problem may be my use of the thermal pad that came with the H90, perhaps some articsilver5 or whatever is popular these days would shave off another few degrees. I'm not comfortable doing something insane like de-lidding wink.gif

As for the GPU, being in this mini-itx case may not be a big factor simply because it is a blower cooler and the node 304 has a massive side vent for the GPU to pull air in, through the vapor chamber, then out the back without affecting the case heat or airflow very much. The Falcon NW Tiki boutique pc (which inspired me to build this) crams a Titan in a much tighter space because of this.

GPU idles at 26C and will hit 80C for 3DMark FireStrike Extreme setting tests or a couple hours of Crysis 3. Due to GPU Boost 2.0 though it will auto-overclock itself until it hits 80C anyways so I'm not sure how valid these results are in terms of being in this case.

In fact, the biggest temp concern I have with this setup is the mSATA SSD under the motherboard, 65C is awfully close to the max 70C recommended by Intel. Since the case fans are higher rather than lower the airflow down there is minimal. I was thinking perhaps making some sort channel to bring a bit of air down there.

For the cabling between the GPU and PSU, I think the room offered by the short 140mm PSU would actually make it possible to bend the cables in such a way that they don't touch the graphics card board at all. I wanted the top to be free of cables though so I kind of stuffed them all in that crack.

I don't think i call this cool tongue.gif or quiet. His idle CPU temps are High; that's the idle temps i get at 4.8ghz, and i suppose he is at stock... smh. He is running a single GPU and gets up to 80c in crysis 3? stock too?... I run SLI 660's @ 1.212mv/ 1293Mhz (max boost clock) and my max temp on my top card is at 61c after benching for 7.7 minutes in Bf3... It's just my opinion though, don't take it serious. Anyone can do what they like best wink.gif.... I just know i won't be building any tiny 2000$ computers lol

I agree on the gpu temps being somewhat high, but the cpu temps are perfectly fine. Do you even benefit from having lower temps than 60C on cpu?
I probably wouldn't buy a titan in the first place but I think low temps are overrated. But you are right, it is about preference.

Hmm, whats your guys suggestion for a quiet midi tower with sufficient cooling then?
The Prodigy seems to have farly decent cooling. And you can add a bitfenix spectre pro 230mm fan in the front

I'd prefer a nvidia graphics cards because of the lightboost, and I am sort of nvidia fanboy tongue.gif

Any case can be quiet with the right components. Just buy what you like and fits your desired hardware. Of the bigger cases I like the corsair 650D. Very classy.

What is this lightboost? I just ordered a 670 but am regretting it a bit as people say a 7950 can be just as good or better for 100 euro less. So I am trying to find reasons that I made the right choice. This is my first graphics card though.

Ive decided to go with the Prodigy case. What would be the best way to get it pretty silent with this case?

Get a graphics card with the asus dc II cooler on. If you insist on using the titan, I guess it is kind of silent. For silence don't use a watercooler, you will have pomp noise. Get a big towercooler with a fan on lowest rpm + 2 intake 120mm fas at slowest. Scythe gentle typhoons for example. One 120mm exhaust on low rpm and you're golden. Don't forget to do your research on quiet PSU's. Be quiet dark power pro is a good option as well as the corsair ax series and the seasonics ofcourse.

Ive decided to go for Dell U2713HM after I saw it live... Its so nice with the detailed picture.
But will GTX670 be enough to play Battlefield 3 at ultra with minimum fps at 50?
I would say yes, as long as you turn AA off.

Edit: Just re-read your post and you want a minimum 50 fps. That may be asking too much at this resolution.

Haven't 7970Ghz edition passed GTX680 in BF3 with the latest drivers?
So that card should might handle it?
