Random Failure

Thread Starter
I checked the ram timing explained thread and noticed that it suggested i change my CAS latency to 2 for better results. It was originally on 2.5. This was the only option i changed it my BIOS. I saved the changes and exited the BIOS assuming my computer would restart with the new settings. Well it didn't. Now the computer won't even boot up, it doesn't even start up the BIOS when i turn it on. *** happened? I only changed one thing and suddenly it just won't start up? i can't even go into the options and change the setting back because my computer won't even boot up now. Any suggestions?

you need to clear Cmos!

all you have to do is open the case panel and look for a little jumper that says something like clear cmos or cmos or something like that, move the jumper to the over for 10 seconds and put it back.

make sure you are the PC is unplugged. if you need help finding where the jumper is it will say in your manual

Check your motherboards manual. If you don't have a manual, find it online.

Some boards require you to move a jumper from one set of pins to another, for about 10 seconds.

Some require you to just remove the jumper for around 10 seconds.

Some you just have to remove the CMOS battery for a few mins, then put i back in.
