I also found this source, and am about to place an order for this block, but was wondering if you have recieved yours and how good is it? thanks!

It's a sub par block with poor performance, shrugs.

I've got mine and I can say you the performance is pretty good. I own a Heatkiller GPU X3 for my other HD7970 (they are in the same water circuit) and the V3 gets up to 50 degrees (Celsius) and the V1 (with the Heatkiller) to 47 Degrees, so no big difference at all.

Anything has to be better than the stock cooler smile.gif Thank you for your input, I will be placing an order with them soon and let everyone know my results.

Sorry for reviving this thread but somebody is selling me a 7970 v3 for almost half of what the other cards cost ...
Will this block fit? Just asking, as in not physically trying it but eyeball check. Item description says it's for the reference cards

Visually it looks like it won't be a problem however the only sure way is to physically try it.

Dave, the highlighted part might become an issue. i know for sure that a couple of the vrms in that area will not be covered.

^^Oh good point. I was looking more at the grinding you had to do on the opposite side. It's easiest to just repeat what was done before you especially if you are not married to that different block.

It will be a one-off so ... And i like powercolor cards. Mad overclocking on a budget wink.gif
That block by the way costs about 80 bucks. Or half of what the EK blocks costs here ... just literally "Testing the waters"
I don't expect it to perform nearly as well but we'll see
