I voted P5B DLX but the DS3 is also good.....just that I don't know my way around with GIGABYTE boards.

See, back in the days of Socket 478, ASUS and ABIT were at each other's throat but then ABIT almost went bankrupt and Pretty much the first Socket 775 board (s) were ASUS that put the stamp on them being the #1 choice for overclockers, then, the same thing for 955X and 975X.

But for some odd reason, GIGABYTE took ABIT's place in challenging ASUS at what they're the best and the DS3 is a pretty good challenging board for any ASUS right now.

And like I said, I don't know my way around the BIOS on the GIGABYTE, so I'll have to say the P5B DLX is the best.......

Ropey may have a different opinion, since that he's got the DS3.

But if any, this could help: http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid...e=expert&pid=7

Performance wise? They're the same, but over-clocking points? I only know the ASUS.

The P5B Deluxe has 2 PCI-e slots, correct? Will i be able to run SLI or CF with hacked drivers?
CrossFire yes. But mediocre performance perhaps because of the lanes in the PCI-Ex are distributed.

SLI with hacked drivers? Perhaps but it wouldn't be worth a damn thing.

The thing about SLI hacked drivers is that the version of those drivers is very old (a year or over old) and therefore you won't see any significant gain in using old drivers with newer cards.

And even, the P5B DLX only supports a x16 and x4 PCI-Ex lanes in those slots. Which is not true SLI but it barely works.

Well should x16 and x4 lanes be a problem if AGP doesn't even use all the x8 lanes (or so i hear)?

I think the P5W is a great board, you just can't touch the FSB of the P5B.

I gotta agree as well on the P5B with single video card solutions. Crossfire would be the P5W DH and SLI would be the P5N32-E (534 FSB)
