more memory does not mean much if the card itself is slow.

maybe spend a tad more a get this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130840

recommendations in the 100-150 range

AMD 7770, 7790
Nvidia 650ti

if you can spend even more, best bang for buck cards are 7850/7870 or the 660/660ti

what is the rest of your system like? (cause that too will make a difference)

Could you find out the model of the card? Control panel > system will give you the info you need.

Your PSU? For that price range, you can get the 7770/7790, though.

I recommend this one : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127726 ($149.99 ($139.99 after rebate card))
