hmmm well I agreed to help gxstorm out with a high-end release, once he gets proreal to where he is comfortable. I will admit that I took a lot of screenies before and after, and they all got mixed up in one folder. I tried to pull only those from the original version that everyone is downloading, but was going from memory based on what car I remember driving at the time--so not a perfect system I admit! I'm fairly certain only the original proreal beta screenies were included in the batch i uploaded though, because of their order in my screenshot folder. but can't promise a one or two didn't make it in. i was jamming, trying to get as much done as possible before my kids woke up and the morning routine started.
i wanna discuss the highend release with gxstorm first, and wait until he gives his blessing to release. this is his project and he put a ton of work into it, so he is the shot calla. but i will say early results after just a few mins of tweaking look really good. added sweet fx and i'm working on the settings. i was getting 50-60 frames with my sig rig, but again, only messed around for a few mins and haven't optimized. as we all know gta iv is poorly coded, so one second you can be getting 70 frames, and the next 30. will discuss with gxstorm, but i'm thinking the goal of the high end release, when the time is right, should be to get decent frames with a single high end gpu + high end processor. for those with kick a%% systems you can pm me after that and i can crank it up even more. but again, don't want to get the cart in front of the horse here--and i first want to support gxstorm's primary goal first of getting one version out for the vast majority of ocn gamers.
