1 Titan it will not bottleneck but if for some reason you get 2 Titan cards it you will see a performance increase with a i7 8 core. but if you rocking 2 titans for the love of god get a 12 core 3930 at least

And microstutter remains and artifacts remain with multiple card setups.

BUT! the titan IS overpriced imo. But, people buy it anyway, so god move nvidia wink.gif

How much FPS does the 1 Titan gives for a 1440p Screen ?

I have a 3570k with Titan SLI. CPU @ 4.8ghz and GPUs at around 1150mhz. The performance difference between my i5 and an i7 or i7 extreme is negligible and in the low single digit fps. A few games might be otherwise (like MMos) but this is a pretty general rule of thumb, not to mention afaik no games use HT.

I am not saying the Titan is a bad card or not worth it.... But for a single 1080p 120hz display? Hell NO... You will get much more better performance with 670 SLI. The TItan is about on a par with 660 TI SLI when overclocked to the max in 2d mode, but in 3d mode, the 660ti SLI beats it and i have proof.... Oh Well...... all this is just my 2 cents though.. I know if i had 1000$, i would do better than a single TITAN for 1080p 120hz, and just to clear things up, anyone that compares a Single Titan to 670's in SLI @ 1080p must be out of his or her mind wth.gif...

Thanks for this. After reviewing a ton of material, it might be best for me just SLi my 670 and wait for 2014 and the 700 Series.

It seems the CPU matters. smile.gif

I was really pissed off with nVidia charging $1000 for Titan. I`m in UK and as you might imagine, I had to pay a bit more, £851 for one Titan. I still consider Titan should have been 680, or in a worse case scenario a 780. But nVidia wants to make money, so I had to pay. The card is quiet and running below 60 degrees Celsius,
Bellow is a valley 1.0 bench with Titan at 1175 MHz and a 3930K@4.68GHz. Unigine doesn`t report properly the CPU clock.

Bottom line: if you have the money go for it, If you`re money`s tight, don`t bother, in the end we`re talking only about games.
I`m using the card not only for games.
Hope that helps

I guess i agree with you on that note. thumb.gif It's your money anyways... but i just don't see why someone would get two titans on 1080p 120hz and get 200fps when your monitor can only output 120fps tongue.gif ... So in a sense, your gameply is no different from me running my own Sleeping dogs at 113fps rolleyes.gif...

I know there are some demanding games like crysis 3 that would make a system suffer @ x8MSAA. But even those demanding games turn out not to be a lot of people's favorites... like... my favorite game till date is Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning, and my Laptop alone get's 60fps Avg with a 660m tongue.gif. I tried devil may cry and my 660's in SLI got 360fps AVG... i was like... what? haha
