[Videocardz] MSi Radeon HD 7970 TwinFrozr III Boost Edition details - Page 8

The TF series is awesome. My 7950 TF2 is running at 1230MHz @ 1.218V 24/7 on WCG and no problems at all. I got the series that came on a 7970 PCB.

Newegg charges tax to NJ residents...thank you for letting me know though! I will purchase through newegg as last resort.

Anybody purchase through Amazon or Tiger Direct that can confirm game bundles?

Yes, if you buy it through amazon you will get the code in email 7 to 10 days. Tiger direct you get the card in mail just like newegg.

Oops! No, I guess I have the R7950 TF3 OC non boost edition. I bought it last November. The new boost editions are on 7950 PCBs I've been told instead of the 7970 PCBs like the model I have.

I emailed TigerDirect though and they themselves said they don't have it "in there records" that that particular card comes with the games.

If you look here you'll see it's the only 7970 without games under the product picture. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/search.asp?keywords=hd+7970&srkey=7970

Also, I emailed MSI who confirmed that card is eligible for the bundle, but it must be taken up with the retailer.

Ugh, should I spend an extra $40 at newegg w/ tax and guarantee the bundle, or order from Amazon/TD and hope I get them?

I know it was asked a few times, but nobody gave a definitive answer: reference or no? I'm chomping at the bit to buy two of these for xfire, but I want to know if I can bolt an EK block for a reference 7970 right on.

I, and several others have contacted MSI. It is reference 100%.
