Might find a tip or two below ...
http://www.overclock.net/faqs/38169-...roduction.html
I was following the guide when I reached this ceiling. I did not sent my RAM quite so low, and my CPU multi would not work <6 or so.
I may try switching out my opty for my old 3700+, set the multi down low and try with that CPU.
I hope the problem is not with my new opty. I got the best stepping, so I will be totally bummed if it is the chip.

Weird Mobo.
I tried rebooting after it hung on the POST screen, and it gave me the message that it failed to POST in the previous startup and I needed to reset my BIOS to stock. I ignored it and it booted at my settings. I was then able to up my HTT to 325 before having issues again.
I tried the same thing and it didn't work that time.
I am now stress testing at 325 with 2 x prime 95 to see if HTT is stable.
Hopefully I can keep it here. 9 * 325 would give 2.9 GHz. I can deal with that.
Thanks for all the imput. I guess my Mobo is just whacked.

The ASUS 939 BIOS can be a bit daunting... AUTO settings can cause issues so avoid them totally if possible.

Any ideas?

I guess I may have to dump this Mobo. I am building an HTPC anyway. I was planning on buying a $50 mobo for that, but maybe I should get a new mobo for my gaming comp and use the Premium in the HTPC.
Could you download and run this and post a screen shot??

POST issue was actually my memory divider. HTT got to 325 at DDR 200 (CPU div at 6), with DDR 333, could push it up to 285 (~DDR 466) but if I set divider at DDR 266, it would not get past POST screen. Now my issue is my memory cannot clock past the 466, limiting everything. Timmings are currently at 3-3-3-8.
If I loosen timmings further, could I push it up around DDR 500?
I tried boosting the vdimm and vcore to compsensate and I could not push it past HTT 285.

You are going to want to increase your HT and Chipset voltages. If nothing seems to work, maybe an rma is an option. They won't rma your board if you say it won't let you OC high enough, because that's not what they cover.

Check my RMA faq in my sig. I've got a bit on ASUS.
