And yes you are correct the 3820 is clock locked (not over clockable)

The 3820 is very overclockable, it just has a limited multiplier(43). There is a thread called 3820 overclock... tons of knowledge over there. Check out the rampage 4 owner's thread as well since your uefi will be very similar. You can oc with bclk, strap and multi and break 5.0 easy. I just lost my ability to oc with bclk though after trying to reach 5.1. Just make sure your bclk divided by strap is very close to one.
