True re: battery concept. But truly intriguing to hear someone's gone and planed out a backup for a backup of a backup in a sense... to make sure the pc doesn't flip the bird the next time lightning hit's their roof 3 times....

When you overclock and anything happens isn't your fault when there's hardware failure because your stressing your components out? My power supply went bad before and i called for an RMA and first they the rep asked me was Were you overclocked? I said no and lied haha. I know it was probably my fault too but most people don't know that their causing power supply failures/problems when they overclock. right?

It all depends.

A CPU blows because you put 2.0V through it and overclock it 200%? Yeah, I'd say that's your fault.

A PSU blows when powering an overclocked rig that still draws less power than the PSU can handle according to spec? Not your fault in my opinion. And even if you overload the PSU, it should have built-in protection.

Do you have nightmares and check on your new computer a lot now?

When the CPU fan went out for my new computer (ran it at 60Cº for 4 horus before I noticed) I had to replace it with the stock Intel cooler. I had horrible nightmares the next night about the fan stopping and my desk melting. My mom yelled becuz it leaked computer guts on her new carpets. Could've been the greek food.
