Hello everybody

Excuse my ignorance , i did not know if the two motherboard are intel or AMD , since it has Asus name. Anyway here the two montherboard

1- ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z 990FX (SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.0, 3X SLI capable)
2- Asus Sabertooth 990FX (SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.0)

as you see the first one says 3X SLI capable? what is SLI ? and why it is important for now or in near future ? i need to know which one is best for future upgrades.

Thank you in advance , going to sleep right now since it is nealy 1 am will reply tomorrow

Both are AMD AM3+ boards. Which processor do you have/will be buying so we can check it's compatible? SLI is Nvidias multi GPU technology, 3x SLI means you can use 3 Nvidia cards at once.

I am thinking of buying FX-8350 . So SLI means i can use three cards togather in the same time, so You said SLI is Nvida Technology does that mean i cannot use AMD cards ? i am thinking of 7970 model. Thank you for responding

That motherboard is compatible with that CPU. Both boards support AMD CrossfireX so you can use multiple AMD cards too.
