I wish AMD would throw Nvidia for a loop and release something to compete with Titan LE/Titan. I find it rediculous that $600 can't buy you the "top" gaming card on the market. It's beyond me how $400 only gets you "upper" mid tier GPU's. It's just sucks that, because of Nvidia's pricing brackets and AMD's faliure to release new cards this year, this card will HAVE to be more expensive then the 680 4gb, but less then the 690/Titan. Nvidia has this power to price cards whatever they please, There's no reason to drop prices or undercut thier own GPU sales.
Since Nvida has the 7XX lined up and pretty much ready to go, they can release "beefed" up 6XX cards and sell them as 7XX, And if AMD tops the "beefed up" 7XX they can just relase the 8XX. They are one step ahead of AMD right now, Nvidia is rolling in the profits, we are emptying our wallets. It's very APPLE-esk, short product refreshes. You need to buy every year to stay "current"
I would be in at $500 maximum, Unfortuantely let's face it, unless AMD catches everyone off guard at computex or something, We will have this card for the steep price of $699-$799. I've seen 690's drop a bit lately, Maybe this card will kind of drop the prices down a bit more.
It seems like the Titan is getting a much bigger response in the market then the 690, maybe to boost sales they'll drop the 690's price a bit. You can't have two $1000 cards and one be better then the other.
Just my thoughts on the issue.
