[wccf] NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan LE Spotted – Has 5 GB GDDR5 320-bit Memory? - Page 19

Brutuz the improvement with CFX is bigger the less fps you have due to the "length" of the runt frames increasing, meaning that they affect the gameplay more.

Some of the situations PCPer showed definitely did support what they said (crossfire not having any noticeable effect) but most of those were situations where the fps was already high so you ended up with 1-2 pixel tall frames as runts that literally have no noticeable effect on the gameplay experience at all.

I don't know what other conclusion you can actually draw from the data they collected. They're capturing the footage as it's being sent to the monitor and the footage clearly shows the runt frames and it's blatantly obvious that a 1 pixel tall frame will not be noticed by the player as anything more than screen tearing.

This thread is bonkers. I dont understand all the people acting like its a ripoff or something else better is right around the corner. That is how all enthusiast level hardware is, Expensive and has diminished performance vs price ratios.

If you are really worried about something better coming out then never build a computer in the first place because by the time the stuff is announced its already outdated by something in R&D.

Cant we all just be happy how far things have come over the years? I used to put a floppy disk in an IBM PS/2 and wait for a game with 8-9 colors total to come up with on board sound haha. Dont get me started on load times involved.

The Titan is an amazing accomplishment in alot of ways if you dont like it then dont buy it lol. But I fail to see what you think you are gaining by putting down people that own it or are looking at it. If there is something so much better in a single GPU solution please show me it. Anyone can stick together lesser cards and get faster results.

Yes, I'm aware of that...I'm saying that their conclusion that CFX doesn't improve anything at all in its current form is just completely wrong, and also that an ideal thing is to have 60fps minimum, iirc when you have that then frame latency issues become a non-issue as you'll be at the same ms difference all of the time, as someone here actually posted proof of. (Fraps proof, but proof nonetheless)
