Without going slimline or c-type, wouldn't most 120mm fit? Or would it have to drop down to 80-100mm?

There's another vote for the NT06-Pro.  biggrin.gif

I have the CM GeminII, put it in my GF's computer.  Good but not excellent.

Most 120 would probably fit.  Just avoid the ones where the heatpipes stick out the top.

h110 is a new rad with 140mm fans, and h80i/h60 2013 are much better than h80 and h60. maybe h100is is the same as h100

You really need to know what you are talking about and quit posting false data and garbage.

Shinobi Window CPU-Core to Window Side Panel = 159.5mm (with a few fractions of error margin on the safe side).

397"]How can you tell what size cooler will fit in your case? I'm not a fan of trial and error when it comes to time/money and of course bigger coolers (usually) cool better!
Of course every case comes with dimensions listed, but after the motherboard is installed, that kills some of the space does it not?
Is the only way to find out physically measuring it?[/quote]
Lots of garbage in your thread here. I posted what CPU to side panel is for both window and no window side panel.

Try your questions over in The BitFenix Owners Lounge

There are lots of air coolers that fit. I know these fit as know people with them in their Shinobi..
Noctua NH-D14
Alpenfon K2 / DeepCool Assassin

If you have Shinobi XL you can fit 181mm tall coolers

PM me if you need more help.

I saw a vortez review which is more certified for giving meassure that a brand that only let you know marketing features
Over on the CPU cooler side of things, it is extremely tight. Installed inside the Shinobi we have the Noctua NH-U12P. This CPU cooler is 158mm in height. The side panel does fit without touching the top of the heatpipes but if the heatink was 1mm taller then getting that side panel on would prove a difficult task.

OP- You can install heatsinks up to 15.8cm
