Can someone help me determine what's wrong? - Page 2

Duly noted. I guess I'll just leave the OCZ in there for now and go ahead and get him a better PS soon. Is the entire CX line built with the same quality components? If so, what would you suggest for this particular build? I've moderately overclocked his processor, and he never games. I just gave him my old 8800GTX so he could use two monitors.

So I'm guessing he doesn't really need anything over 500w.

glad you got it sorted out! 9/10 when moving cases and you are really careful but it still doesn't boot its usually a short caused by the case or something else!
Small wonder.

The CX750M is another OEM then the lower ones but that is way overkill you dont need anything over 550 watts and even that is more then enough

You can find one from the list http://www.overclock.net/t/183810/faq-recommended-power-supplies

Haha the calm before the firestorm. Lol are there places where people don't have AC's? There's no way you could make it around here without one.

I'm rocking an OCZ in my wife's rig and my folding rig, both are rock solid. I've had a 750 OCZ powering my folding rig on full tilt for over a year, and I've have had no problems with it. I wouldn't worry about changing it unless your dad is having problems with it.
