hello everyone I have a phenom ii x4 965 . running stable at 4.1 on prime but the voltage I have to run on the processor is 1.6v
now im using a closed loop water cooler. corsair h60. my temps are 32-33c idle and 57-58 after 4hrs on prime torture test. im going to let it run all night tonight and for the day tomorrow to get the 8hr stability check. my question is am I ok at that high of a voltage.redface.gif

It is a little high but since you have temps under control it should be fine.

Seems like you just got bad phenom.mad.gif I'm at 4.3ghz at 1.47 volts but games wont stress your CPU near what a stability test would. So your fine.

At that voltage, just remember, even though your temps are ok, it will degrade the cpu a bit faster.
So rely depends how long you plan on keeping it.

Thanks for replys. Is there a diffrent of rout i could use to get clock up to what it is on less voltage. Like dropping the multiplyer and upung the 205 to a larger number or will it still have to jack the Cpu voltage that high.

If you have not done so already, I would work on getting your CPU-NB frequency up

I got a pretty bad 970 myself that needs a bare minimum of 1.53 just to even be stable at 4.0 I run at mine at around 1.55 in a custom loop. I would work on ref clocking which will also up your CPU-NB (IMC) frequency as well. Denebs love that NB pretty high and would suggest getting it as high as you can. There are plenty of good OC guides on Phenom II's.

Here's one
