Sapphire 7950 resets to stock clocks on startup.

I recently purchased this card for my new pc build:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202026

I am using Trixx to adjust settings, for my 1100/1400 relatively conservative overclock. I use +20 board power to avoid any gpu throttling. I run the Unigine Heaven 4.0 benchmark many times and everything looks great, temps hover around 60c on load. Games are running good, I am happy. I save the settings in Trixx.

But now everytime I reboot my PC, Trixx is back to default values. It's a new build on a fresh hard drive, Windows 7 x64. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks so much!

I figured it out, you need to press the boost button on the card

Not all of us have boost buttons, that is why you didn't get your answer right away here or on anandtech. thumb.gif

Also, My Sapphire 2L's don't have a boost button or a non-boost bios.
Both my bios's are the same, the dual bios is just an exact backup of the other.
But it's still nice to have a dual bios for backup if you ever decide to flash.

Sapphire has so many different models and configurations, its best to just take advice from someone who owns the exact same model you do.
And i'm not even sure the exact same sapphire models all have the exact same configurations/bios's either. LOL

You won't believe how many times i've seen people advise others with Sapphire 2L's cards to just flip the switch to the other non-boost bios, without realizing
why he says it made no difference. biggrin.gif
