Screen flickering

Hi Overclockers, I recently discovered that my HTPC is flickering from full screen to normal screen. Its so bad that i can't select anything. No browser on any any program that has a choice for full screen and normal screen is exempt. How do I fix this? The only option i see is to reinstall the OS, which I think is drastic, beside I don't want to loose the movies i have installed.thanks for your help
Below is the spec of my HTPC


OS: Vista 32 bit.
RAM: 2GB 800 DDR2
Optical drive:Samsung CD/DVD/RW
CPU Amd Althon 64X2 4400
Gaphics: Nvidia GEF ORCE DDR3 8400GS
HD: Western Digital 500 G
Motherboard:Foxxcon MP61PMV

Have you tried reinstalling drivers?

I'm have some difficulties doing that, as the screen keeps switching from normal view to full view. It does it so fast that I can't make a selection.

Try booting into safe mode and do it through that.
