Which one would be better? Any thoughts?

I wonder if 6 cores really make a difference with an SLI setup that is so powerful? Or should I just go with a 4770k and OC the heck out of it?

Also which CPU cooler would be the best? I am thinking of one similar to H100 but will be selling my current mobo+cpu+h100 to a friend, hence why I need a new combo.

Thanks in advance.

The SB-E would be better, due to its increase performance and added cores, but the future 4770k will be better in single GPU situations. I recommend a custom loop with a SB-E due to its increased TDP, but the H100i, Kraken X60 and H220 would do, but not near as much as a custom loop.

The H220 has expandability to add more rads and blocks, so that might be a better idea for you.

I'd take the 3930k due to the 6 physical cores.

4770k? bro, you just got me:rolleyes:
I assume you're talking about 3770k? Well, if budget is not constraint, 3930k is the best choice for you. More is always better than less.biggrin.gif
Take a look at thermaltake water 2.0 and nzxt kraken, these are pretty good

hmmm, just checked 4770k haswell from Tom

3930k is still the better choice:thumb:

I was thinking the same DKY93. Since we don't know what performance the 4770K will bring to the table, I am assuming the 3770K and I would take the 3930K also. thumb.gif

Thanks for the answers guys.

I actually did mean the 4770k.

I know we dont know much about it but I am guessing it will at least be 10% faster than 3770k.

If the 4770k is released in late June or July than 3930k will be my only option anyway. My brother in law is coming from SF in mid June.

I am also leaning towards 3930k.

Mainly because the motherboard I will have for it will also support Ivy-E which is postponed for later this year.

And about the CPU cooler, I will probably go with H100i it seems.

Get the H220 instead, you can expand and add more rads and block

Hmm. Interesting actually.

Is the installation as simple as the H100?
