7870 Myst Problems

Hi, i have recently bought a powercolor myst 7870. Recently, i have been overclocking it but found that it throttles below stock speeds. Because of this i have flashed the bios to a newer .32 revision but found that changing the memory clock even by 1 mhz, freezes my computer. After that i reverted back to the .28 bios but the i can still cant change the memory clock even i could before i flashed. What could be causing this problem? I have reformatted by computer just to make sure it was not a driver issue. Thanks in advance.

Are you doing it in CCC or through another software? try AfterBurner.

As for the throttling at stock speeds, could be because of overheating or you might have to increase the power limit. Just set it to 20% and adjust your fan profile to speed up the fans.

Here's how to put your rig in your sig:

I fixed the problem by just reseating the card. Thanks for your help anyway.
