Which monitor would you get?

I've spent a week now trying to decide and well need some help so please what would you get? If it matters I will be getting the R600 when it comes out.

Choices

LG
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...;20Electronics

Samsung
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...acture=Samsung

Or One of these Dells, really not sure what the difference is between them

E207WFP
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...1&sku=320-5123

2007FWP
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...1&sku=320-4688

Don't look at prices when deciding between the monitors, just features because price isn't a concern of mine they are all close enough. Thanks for any help.

Forgot to mention if you do have any suggestions on other monitors I don't mind taking a look. I want a 20inch monitor that will be used for primarily movies and games. Thanks again.

Get the LG. I've seen it in action, it looks amazing. All of them are great monitors, but the picture quality on the LG is just wonderful.

The E207WFP is basicly the 2007WFP without all the bells and whistles. (Composite inputs, USB hub, etc)

The last Dell you posted looks the best to me. Although they are all pretty damn similar. I like the overall look of the Dells though. The only thing that stands out is the 800:1 contrast ratio is better on the Dells and the 15-pin D-Sub/DVI-D/S-Video/Composite Connectors. Those will come in handy, as you'll be able to plug in dvd players, game consoles, etc...

Be aware however that all the 20"ers are 16x10 ratio. So if you were watching a movie in 16x9, you are going to have black bars across the top/bottom. They won't be that big, but they'll be there.

Also, the Dells have a good reputation for not having a lot of backlight bleeding. Go with the second Dell you put up and you'll be pleased!

So one for LG and one for Dell...I think I might go out and see these monitors in person...though timing is a problem. I'm hoping the Dell Days of Deals put up the 2007WFP with a huge discount, that would probably be my deciding factor there.

Do I really have to worry about bleeding in monitors like these? I'm not getting the cheaper ones was hoping I wouldn't have to worry about bleeding, ghosting or any such display issues.

Thanks for the opinions CWell1337 and Namrac.

The LG has a 2000:1 contrast ratio. It also has low response time and pixel pitch.

Here man. I did some diggin on Wikipedia, and found this for you...

Quote:
Older monitors with long response times would create a smear or blur pattern around moving objects, making them unacceptable for moving video. High response times can be annoying to a viewer depending on the type of data being displayed and how rapidly the image is changing or moving. Many current LCDs monitor models have improved to the point that this is rarely seen.

So REALLY.....you dont really need anything better than an LCD with an 8ms response time. Providing it's new. Now...I've played on a 19 inch dell with an 8ms response time, and it looks GREAT. No ghosting

If you can get those with 5ms.....you're laughin. Even one with 8ms at a good price

Awesome info diggin, thanks.

LG does have 2000:1 Ratio which is awesome. Read that the stand was pretty crappy though, it only tilts..and that it barely tilts anyways. I do like LG's 3 year warranty though. Has a SWAP program which hopefully is good. It doesn't come with a DVI cable though, which is quite annoying but easily solved.

Between the Dells you guys suggest the 2007WFP? or the E207WFP? Do I really need composite? for an extra 100 dollars. PS I also have a 32 inch Samsung 5000:1 LCD HDTV in the family room but a certain someone won't allow me to drag it into my office hahaha I wonder why eh
