The point of the thread is to illustrate my aggravations and abhorrent behavior of Panasonic, so I'm not sure why you pointed out that such things were discussed. Still, you neglect to mention that I stated the encoding used, that Panasonic found no problems with it, the various trouble shooting things tried, and that similar problems exist when a different server is involved, or even when no server is involved.
I have a Panasonic Blu-Ray player, and I have had no issue getting FLAC, MP4, MKV (over network drive), MP3, etc to work. The problem is most likely your DLNA server. I don't think I saw you mention throughout the thread what DLNA server you are using, just the fact that "it works on every other device" isn't a good enough answer. If there are limitations on that TV, then of course every other device will work, except that one. Same goes with my PS3, I am unable to stream MKV because it isn't in the DLNA spec unless the video is transcoded.
DLNA doesn't require one specific file type, so I'm not sure what you're trying to say. You are also not making sense as the server is not the issue if TV limitations are a problem. Furthermore, the files are supported by the TV. That's been mentioned countless times and verified by Panasonic. The server, if functional on other devices, and similar problems exist when the server isn't involved, can safely be eliminated. But, for your edification it is a simple miniDLNA server. If you have a reason to suggest the problem is the server then please explain and I will attempt to remedy it. What you have written above doesn't make sense or tell me what you think I should be looking into.
The reason you were probably blocked from inquiring about your status on the issue is because you came off rude. I get to that point because you seem to be nothing but angry over the past three weeks when you post in this thread.
So I'm supposed to be peachy when treated like that? It didn't work over the phone. It didn't work over email. It didn't work at the start of Facebook posts, either. In fact, I wasn't blocked until I posted a picture of their faulty firmware when they continued to neglect the problem. To suggest it has nothing to do with Panasonic being unwilling to fix their issues, because they've been so forthcoming and helpful thus far, is prematurely assumed at best. I also can't be expected to jump for joy when people (no one in specific being targeted) posting here can't use simple logic or read the thread, either. I was more than cordial to the people trying to help on here, and nicer than I needed to be to the people filling the thread with needless posts. I even refuse to address people that are ignorant or simply lie to try to bait me. I'd hardly call that response rude or angry.Edited by stargate125645 - 6/2/13 at 11:05pm
