Good luck (meant in non-sarcastic manner).

You have no idea how tempted I am to print this out and post this next to the fume hood.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I'll report back once I get a breakdown of this announcement from The Skeptics Guide to the Universe.

Aaaah microbiology. Have you brought your own poop to class yet and analyzed it? I'll never forget how many girls were absent and rocked up with doctors certificates the next day biggrin.gif

There have been numerous cannabinoids that have proven to inhibit cancer and tumorous growths. This was many, many years ago too. Don't see what the big deal is. All they are going to do is shelve the concept or cure. The cure for cancer has been out for ages - it's cannabinoids - whether synthetic or otherwise. There's absolutely nothing special about this "discovery."

How can you make money off of curing anyone, when you can continually treat them instead?

Use your common sense. Silly folders. helpinghand.gif

There's nothing shelved. There are still labs working on this. Hell, I work for one of those labs. The problem is we haven't progressed to human clinical trials yet because we're still in the culture/animal testing phase. Unfortunately research is a slow and methodical process, but it's this way so we don't, you know, kill someone.

Cannabinoids are safe, we have Cannabinoid receptors in our bodies. We can treat people now, and cure people now with cannabinoids. But we're not because they don't want to cure anyone.

Stop kidding yourself.

There's also work being done involving THC and HIV at MSU. The US FDA almost hit the lab at one point because of the use of THC.
