Im not sure about the air flow, i have 2 fans that pushes fresh air and 2 that pulls, the ones that pushes are in the bottom side of the case and the ones that pulls are in the top side and in the back side where the noctua pushes the hot air, so the hot air goes out of the case i believe.
I would try using LLC setting - high rather than extreme and try it again. I have 2 8350 rigs, one on a board that has no LLC and the other is the CHV-z. I can get higher clocks and cooler temps on the board without LLC, it really adds a lot of heat.

This is a screen shot of a half hour of prime 4.5 ghz 1.52 volts setting, 1.45Volts at load after v droop
This is on my MSI rig without LLC , it uses an H100 in push pull configuration.

Ok i tried those steps, i lowered vcore to 1.431v and LLC to medium but as soon as i enter in windows i get blue screen, then i tried LLC at high with same vcore 1.431v again blue screen, now i have LLC at ultra high and 1.437v vcore and i run again prime95 blend test without problems, but this time the cpu z shows 1.440vcore and raises to 1.452vcore it goes up and down accordingly , my temps have been slightly improved as i removed the side panel and i putted a 170x170x20mm fan to push air right into the intake of the cpu cooler and i see now 59c instead of 65c from the max i had, according to HWmonitor.

i spent alot of time oc'ing the 8120 before going to the 8350. thats a 1ghz overclock which is alot, but i wouldnt go over 4.2 all day for the sake of the chip and temps your getting. i could never get anything over 4.5 stable and i was pushing it, i just did it for the validation. id say just keep it at 4.2 with that cooler, which is a cooler designed to be quiet not for performance like an h100. if you want to go higher youll have to goto the 8350 but keep in mind youll have the same temp problem with that cooler, but its faster and newer tech.

id say, keep using the 8120 while having it up for sale, when it sells be without a pc for a few days and order the 8350 with the money. also going form the 8120 @ 4.2 stable to 8350 @4.7 stable, its NOT THAT huge of a performance gain, but it IS there, this is also why all the prices on all the amd 8 cores are so similar.

watch your temps, mike:)
