Need serious help finding games...

Seriously lacking games....

Yep. I've been gaming on my old laptop for about 2-3 years (Xbox before that) and within the past 6(?) months have moved to a much more serious gaming rig. Used to play a ton of minecraft, can't stand it anymore. I have played a variety of games, here's a few not on my steam list I can remember off the top of my head:
BF2/3
Red Faction: Guerrilla/Armageddon
GTA IV
Need for Speeds
Call of Duty 4 -8(?)
Planetside 2
Kerbal Space Program
....Huh thought there would be more.... that's all I remember tongue.gif

The only ones I really play anymore are (But am even losing interest in those, except for tomb raider wheee.gif)
Skyrim (just finished ANOTHER playthrough and am growing tired of it (but only for a while rolleyes.gif)
Dota 2 (not a ton)
Tomb Raider
Tribes Ascend

Does anyone have any games they can recommend?? I love games that can tell a great, capturing story and look good plus has a great replay ability be it through multiplayer or some other form. Not a fan of zombie games at all, however. I'm open to everything else from F2P or Full $60 - to Singleplayer or multiplayer, just looking for anything at this point!

Thanks!

EDIT:
A spoiler here with suggestions, just so I can keep track of all of them wheee.gif
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
  • Witcher Series
  • Hawken
  • Bioshock series
  • Dark Souls
  • Path of Exile
  • Mass Effect 3
  • Far Cry 3
  • League of Legends
  • Dragon Age 2

EDIT 2: I just recalled I never did finish borderlands 2 (I think I got stuck or board, I may pick that up again soon...)

I'm really enjoying Bioshock Infinite and it will certainly show you what your system can do. I'm not sure if Steam is still running the promotion, but I also got a free copy of Bioshock 1 when I bought it. That's another one you shouldn't miss!

And if you enjoy Skyrim, then give Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas a try. Their similar in a lot of ways, from interface to the open world with lots of side quests. It's just laser beams and radiation instead of swords and dragons.

Bioshock is one I should look into, that could be a fun one. I forgot, I did play both fallout 3 and new vegas (How did I forget those ???)
Thanks for the suggestion!

Another I forgot! I played Bastion and Binding of Isaac from a humble bundle I picked up a LONG time ago. Dark souls I haven't heard of, though, will certainly check out! Thanks!

I do enjoy those every now and then. I play a lot of those on my phone, but have tried Frozen Synapse and a few others. Any specific ones you think would be great?

No controller :/ Are the controls clunky without one or is one needed?

Witcher series? Heard of the 3rd one coming out and that's about it - will look into.
Path of exile I have never heard of, haven't played diablo or mass effect either.... I'll check out path of exile, no idea what it is and that should make things interesting, thanks!

Well depens on what you like if you are a fan of hardcore militray games then Wargame European Escalation is something for you its super realistic and its hard as hell

If you like something fun without being too serious there is Cities XL

If you like space 4X games there is Sins Of A Solar Empire Rebellion which is realtime and Endless Space which is turn based

Is the multiplayer popular in that game or has it seemed to have died out? Tomb raider's multiplayer is already dead - can't find a match at all during some hours. Will check out for the single player, though! Thanks!

I do like space biggrin.gif Not really into military games, and I'm not extremely serious with RTS, but will look into those two space ones and Cities CL, Thanks!

If I do pick up an RTS game, though, I think that'll be something I hop on and off of (Which isn't necessarily a bad thing biggrin.gif)
