QNIX QX2710 vs Samsung S27A850D: which one? ready to buy :D

OK, I have the money, its now just time to make the decision.

Do i spend the big bucks and buy a samsung S27A850D ($600), or buy a QNIX QX2710 ($317) or the perfect pixel version ($380)

I think the QNIX uses the same panel as the samsung, which is a 2560x1440 27" PLS. I guess my question is the risk worth it in regards to dead pixels etc in order to save a couple hundred bucks? From looking at the forums people seem pretty happy with it. Just need someone to provide a solid argument as to why or why not in order to tip me over the edge wink.gif

the QNIX in question:

If you haven't already have a look at this.

It's pretty luck of the draw whether you get a good one. Heaps of people have had a good experience with returns though.
Mine has the tiniest bit of backlight bleed. One person managed to fix every problem he had with his by reseating the panel in the case and using some tape.

You can get the QNIX QX2710 much cheaper than $317. Have a better look on eBay and make some offers. Also the Australian dollar is worth quite a bit more than the US dollar. Mine was $298 AU. If you use Paypal, make sure you opt use your banks currency converter instead of theirs, because they will rip you off otherwise.

Mine overclocks to 120hz as well biggrin.gif. Under $300 for a 120hz 2560x1440 monitor is a pretty sweet deal to me thumb.gif

I dont know if the S27A850D will overclock.

I've made a thread for people to share their PLS overclock results. No-one's posted theirs yet though. There's a guide there for people with NVIDIA cards. Its pretty simple. I can't guarantee you'll get 120hz though.
