Well it keeps an image moving...but this doesn't appear to be real burn-in anyway and is nothing to really worry about.

So is 96hz the sweet spot for this monitor? Anyone run 120hz 24/7?

I just got one today (yay) and it goes to 96hz no problem. 120hz flickers badly, so I'm going to try the 24AWG cable to see if it will work.

edit: SWEEEEEEEET!! Switched to 10ft 24AWG monoprice cable and boom, 120hz with no flickering or banding, looks absolutely perfect. YAY! Gonna run this 24/7 for now.

edit 2: Whoops, full screen'd a flash video and it showed up with some weird horizontal lines flickering in every now and again.

Tweak values in CRU such as try LCD-Reduced from the pull-down to start.

Though this thread should not be general discussion (I have been guilty too..) as we already have not one but two threads for that.

Messed around with settings a lot, found a low pixel clock one and believe I'm at my max now.

Occasional green lines max: 118hz
No green lines/perfect picture max: 108hz

Thinking strongly about upgrading to an Nvidia card to hit 120hz cleanly, as I've read Nvidia is superior to AMD for hertz overclocking.

Yeah...I don't know about that dude. Can't say I have heard the same. I sure as hell would not buy another card if based on that hearsay alone. Though I do have a GTX 480 I don't need... biggrin.gif

I think people with nvidia have been seeing a bit better results since i have been keeping tabs over the PLS club since it started. I think a good addition that would help this distinction would be to add a video card type to the members list chart. I will go over there and suggest it for you guys thumb.gif

Anybody else come across this problem yet?

Problem is when I restart, the screen goes black. I have to change from 120->60 every time I turn on my computer, reboot and then change back to 120. Very annoying.

Just ordered a pixel perfect xstar from hulustar today.
Fingers crossed I get lucky, had to return my plasma TV for a dead pixel. So bloody annoying...

I'll post back some results in the next week or so. Whenever it gets here.

Be interesting to see how well my rig holds up running that res at those frames. wink.gif
