For those who can't read the attachments, the proposed build is:

Intel Core i5-3570K
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H
Sapphire Radeon 7850 2GB
Corsair CX500M
2x4GB Kingston HyperX PnP DDR3-1600
BenQ GL2460 24" 1920x1080 monitor
DVI cable

My answer is yes, that will work out nicely for gaming at that monitor's resolution. You might want to consider getting an aftermarket heatsink/fan for the CPU if your friend is going to do any overclocking, however. The one included with the 3570K is only good at default stock speeds.

Holy smokes, when I saw the prices wheee.gif Then I realized it wasn't dollars.

Yes that build is nice. Although I never did really like Kingston memory. I would go with Mushkin's or G.skill if you can get your hands on them.

I'm pretty sure in this case, even a UD3H would be too much. A D3H is probably all you really need. Then you can use that money to throw on a decent cooler like a Hyper 212 Evo or Thermalright TrueSpirit 120. Then upgrade the 7850 to a 7870 GHz Ed. Which will make the rig more enjoyable; because it will allow you to increase the graphics settings in some games, increase overall framerates, and let you overclock a bit because of the aftermarket cooler ( maybe a conservative 4.2-4.4GHz).

The ram is not available here(I LIVE IN NORWAY) and i do not mean to ignore all the advices but the parts you mention is not available at the moment and he asked for a bit of a overkill pc smile.gif. Overclocking is not a question right now because of his funds but this computer meets all his demands, a 7950 would be more waste of money than overkill thinking what games he is gonna play( BF3, League of legends, DayZ etc) and he is a first timer to computing and im quite noobish to, so thanks for all help smile.gif +rep from me!

Do you have a link to a store that you would purchase from in Norway, or nearby, that would have stock of the items you're considering?
Perhaps the requested build was a bit overboard, but it does include a good selection of parts to do a decent build.
