Noisy LCD

Yesterday I bought Fujitsu Siemens L19-2 lcd screen. It had rather good specs:
Fujitsu Siemens SCALEOVIEW L19-2 - Flat panel display - TFT - 19" - 1280 x 1024 / 75 Hz - 300 cd/m2 - 700:1 - 5 ms - 0.294 mm - DVI, VGA (HD-15)

It went completely blank after about 4 hours of usage. The monitor itself is on, the backlit goes on and off immediately. I will return it tomorrow but wanted to hear what you think was wrong.
When I first connected it to my PC it had a white line going from top to bottom, located closer to the right edge of the screen. Changing resolution and refresh rates didn't help. After some time it disappeared by itself. It came back when I woke up the screen from power saving mode and again disappeared after a while. Backlit was also very noisy. Guess it was about to die.
It has line-in and an audio cable is supplied with it. However, if you look at the picture in the link, you see there are no speakers in front of the monitor. Frankly I could not locate the speakers. Where could they be? Or this is a model without speakers and they (fujitsu-siemens) just forgat to modify the manual and the contents of the box?

Changed it to another one. This time without any of the aforementioned problems. So far satisfied.

And it actually has built in speakers. Located in the back of the screen. Sound like any other built in speakers, worth using only if you have no other choice..

Thats exactly what happens to LCDs on the floor at work , people turn em on and off and hit the screen , then the white line then the only the back light works then they completely die. Get your money back and get a unopened one.
