I need with with rainbow 6 Vegas - Page 2

i think you will be able to run it. it says its written for dual-core processors. and since the core2 duo is newer than the P4 i would assume it would work. since it says P4 in minimum.

PS. Im not sure that the Dell XPS has an unlocked bios... just to let you know you might not be able to overclock on the current motherboard you have.
Ok ill probably buy a new motherboard then, would you happen to know what kind of motherboard i would need and a good one at that? Thanks for the great help

At this point I would consider making a new thread in the intel section, that way you will get responses from the entire forum population. Alot of people will read the first few posts of this thread, see that the question has been answered and move on. Just head over to intel motherboards and make a new thread, you will get alot better help them I could provide!

(ps. I say go with the P5B )

P5B Deluxe.I should have gotten one wheni built mine and took the cheap way out and regret it.
But I will be getting one soon since I am building my daughter a C2D rig, actually she is going to do the work, she is 10 now and should already know how to do it.Thinking of going with a 6400 and a 7950GT 1 GB ram

I don't think you'll be able to play Rainbow Six Vegas with your setup. I'm hearing from many different forums that even a 8800 GTX SLI has difficulty playing the game.

It's probably because of the fact that it's a direct port and has bad coding or bad drivers.

You will be much better off with playing Rainbow Six: Raven Shield.

Sorry, but I don't think your GPU will be able to handle that game. It utilizes the Unreal 3 Engine to run (the one from UT2007), so it requires a pretty decent-high end GPU to run without studdering. Many report that even a 7600-7800 are only getting around 20fps in that game, much less your 7300LE (not meant to play these games). The rest of your rig is fine, its just your GPU that is holding you back big time. You could possibly run it at the absolute lowest settings but get around 15-20fps, in other words hardly playable. My suggestion: Do not buy this game until you upgrade your GPU. Perhaps try Rainbow Six 3: Lockdown.

i have the exact same rig except i have 2GB ram and i can play it on lowest settings which still isnt that bad because basically the only thing you can lower in it is shadows. the thing about 7300LE is it uses your computers shared memory up to 512MB so it will play any game just on lower settings like mentioned above
