thanks for this information. Have not bought it yet but will soon. Have already found nice deal and will order it in the next week or so.

I wouldn't recommend using manual focus with any DSLR through the viewfinder without a proper focusing screen, especially on entry level models with tiny viewfinders.

Correct, if lens does have an auto focus motor, it will work with entry level DSLR bodies (D3XXX, D5XXX ) I believe the D7XXX do have motors build into body so all AF and AF-S lenses would work. But I believe dzyvette is talking about the AF vs. AF-S lenses that Nikon's use. The older AF lenses (no -S) do not have a (S)ilent Wave Motor (that's where the S comes from AF-S) so those lenses wont auto focus with a entry level body. The AF-S lenses do have the Silent Wave Motor build into the lens and they will auto focus correctly on a entry level body. So keep that in mind if you own a entry level body and are looking into lenses.

As far as I know it's not a full frame.
So it's an entry level dslr... So it's not a professional camera.

Full frame does not mean professional....canon 1d4 are crop frames and the 7d/d300s are both professionally used cameras.

I tell you one thing it might not be a pro camera but it takes the best pictures in any lighting or circumstances than any other camera I have had.. The one I stop using was a 10 year old Minolta PRO DSLR

yeah. There are cameras that are used for professional work. But really there are no pro cameras, just professionals that use cameras. The camera itself is just a tool for the artist tongue.gif
