Spend a few more bones and get a 6 core. You won't regret it.

The FX quad really suck in comparison to the Phenom II x4 overall. The 6300 would be better overall.

EDIT
This the closest that I can give you to compare them.

It's not worth the time and trouble going from your x4 to the 4300. The 6300 is a different story.

Not an upgrade at all, see this for a bit of an idea, your 955 is still 300mhz faster than the 980 in this comparison.

Good luck!

Just checked your current RIG and you already have a 955BE. My advice is you wont notice the jump to the FX chip, you either get a x6 or 8130/8350 to notice it. The 955BE is a beast smile.gif

well i was thinking of staying with a quad core because the games i play dont use more than 2 cores like mafia 2,css/cs-go,gta 4 ,gta sa,sleeping dogs, max payne 3

yep save for a bit and go 8350 and Biostar TA990FXE these will run great together , with a h100i you should be close or at 5.0 probly 4.7 on good air .
