I totally agree. There is nothing impressive in putting up together some parts with a nice sleeve and a nice coolant color. I suggest a review of the rules for mod of the month. I don't want to offend some builds here but a mod is at least one creative touch in the build.

NO DREMEL = NO MOD OF THE MONTH.

Any Jo can bolt in rads/pumps/fans into place, place fittings in the right spot and connect them with tubing, buy PSU extensions and call it a day.

Yup. Good point guys. I'd rather suggest a set of "judges" to look into builds/mods and choose the winner rather than just the poll. Keep the polls tho and use it as percentage of total points that the build could get. We cannot blame them if they're lack on tools. Not everyone can mods as well. let keep this contest as it is even without highly modified rigs. Let's just change how we crown the winner. Well ofcourse the judges should be credible and a modder themselves too to judge the builds. We could actually start a new thread for this and ask the community for suggestions.

Yea that sounds good to me. And I have felt the same way but giving people the benifit of the dought on not having tools is a good point but on the flip side what about people who have and use the createivity but dont have the money for a $2000 plus WC setup. Seems to me like some are winning just for looks and is just a expencive build with no modding involved....... I agree we should just make another thread and maybe have the two....

That's why i voted for your build, even though it's not finished, but the creative job is there, and the work too.

I'm in for asking people's opinion on how the mod of the month should be voted. The judges idea is pretty good, but let's say the judges come from the community and not only from the experienced modders only. You know like in court where the 12 are chosen from the people. Every month the thread starter should pick up some guys on the forum and designate them to judge the mods, the others vote in the pol and the winner gets designated by the judges 70% and the community 30%. Experienced modders have their own criteria chart, and we're risking eliminating a good creative job just because the poor modder doesn't have the tools to do it very neet and slick looking but has a very good idea. smile.gif

Great builds/mods everyone! I just saw this thread.... after everything is over redface.gif...

Man, after paroozing around the work/mod logs there are some other pimptastic rigs/mods that will probably be done in the same time frame as my Force1 rig (i.e. ITDiva, Kingchris, etc...). Thats assuming I'm able to finally finish my never ending build lol thumb.gif

I'm on holidays now in Mauritius island, I can't build here mad.gif not this month. I've put my mod on hold, but I'm still ordering goodies. Got myself a dremel 4000 and accessories (sick of buying custom parts when I can do them myself) ordered the e22 tubing, fittings, koolance new res and adapters etc. I'm watching your build log, and you have some serious competition out there. I'll be ready for july maybe. I've got my hands on my next case already (got it cheap on ebay) thermaltake level 10 bmw edition, this will be my next build log, haven't yet decided what should I put inside, I have only two spare ssd and the i5 3570k to start with and i'm having a look at a mora3 rad for the watercooling.

Same here, I voted for MCCSolutions Fatal build and I had my build up for the competition as well. I love the Bacardi rez. I liked the clean look of some of the other builds, but I love the mods on Fatal.

Ahhhh, there you are biggrin.gif.... I couldn't remember for the life of me who was doing the awesome SR-2 (and had mad Sketchup skills thumb.gif ). Obviously my OCN site navigations skills are lacking severely lol. The next few months should prove crazy for builds/mods biggrin.gif
