Its funny and maddening how ebay sellers can get away with this description and disclaimer. I'm surprised Monoprice is doing this. I'm sure they'll run into some legal trouble because of this. If its not in 100% order, then technically, it shouldn't be sold as new.

The one ebay seller that always gets good recommendations and the price is appropriate (but still hard to swallow for Surround/Eyefinity):

http://stores.ebay.com/AccessoriesWhole/Monitors-/_i.html?rt=nc&_nkw=perfect&_fsub=5015886015&_sid=1033343855&_sticky=1&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14&_sop=2&_sc=1

All the ebay sellers state up front whether it is pixel perfect or not. But seriously, it doesn't matter in the slightest. You won't be able to see an individual dead pixel unless you're two inches from the screen staring at a pure white background.

If the sellers weren't allowed to sell panels with a few dead pixels, they'd have to throw away 90% of their inventory and prices would be through the roof. Even apple allows 15 dead pixels on their cinema displays.

A defect is a defect. Perfect implies there are no defects. I never said they don't state that (read my posts) and I never said they shouldn't sell them. (read my posts again). My problem is the abuse of the word "perfect". Some sellers don't even use "perfect", others are using it like crazy. From what I've been told, the best batch goes to the Korean market first and only a few of them make it to the the outside market. That leaves with many, many imperfect units been sold cheap. Makes sense, ? I'm not implying not to buy these, just what to expect. As I've said, I did a bit of research for a few months. It just wasn't worth it to me. Maybe it is to others, I'm just providing my 2cents.gif for the community.

FYI they're back in stock right now. Doesn't appear to be a pre-order at all. Seems like a standard order, actually.

I was just about to make a post about this. Saw these monitors on monoprice when I placed an order for some cables.

I'm wondering if removing the monoprice logo will damage the surface it's printed on.

Yes a mini-DVI or mini-DP adapter if the Mac isn't native DVI.

You won't get full resolution without a dual link adapter.

For amd users, you need this:

http://www.amazon.com/Accell-B087B-007B-DisplayPort-Dual-Link-Adapter/dp/B00856WJH8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1366397820&sr=8-3&keywords=dvi+dual+link+adapter

Nvidia users can run this resolution natively as long as the card has a dual link connection.

No native support for 2560x1600/1440 (edit): when using display port to single link dvi or a card w/ only single-link dvi.
