P5B-DL FTW!...It runs 8x,8x Sli w/ mod'd drivers too.

ABIT's 975X boards support crossfire and SLI, you need ABIT's drivers for SLI though.
also, they only have a single pci slot. thats a big downside.
reviews (yes, actual reviews) claim their highest end board hits 480fsb.

Asus P5B-Deluxe Great overclocker easily one of the top-5 motherboards for C2D
post #25 of 28
I guess the main reason for us "overclockers" is how high the FSB can go, I mean the highest end abit does 485Mhz, P5B-Dlx does 500Mhz, i am not too such on the DS3 though?

Well, the abit's at a disavantage, because they are using a 975x chipset vs the PB5 boards. The DS3 is a good board, with a lot of bios options, easy vcore/vdimm mods, but doen't clock as high as some other boards, such as the Biostar board pook linked. Heck, the biostar gives over 500 fsb with no mods for 100 bucks. Fairly unbeatable really.
