Why would you need more than 4 cores? Ridiculous.

Ahh, another champion of reason prevails! SD card slot is a total must for these devices. I can't fathom how others put up with the step backwards frown.gif

Because my One X+ comes with 64GB internal (For the standard $200 with plan, mind, not some obscene price), and I can plug in USB sticks?

The only need I would have for more than 64GB right now, is movies. Even that's a lie, my Encoded DVDs are only 1.7GB each at most. Music, pictures, books, linux distros... with all my things, I use 10GB of my storage right now, and 4GB of that is a straight up .img file.

The only problem with having no SD chip is when the models with lots of internal storage cost a lot. That isn't the case with HTC (32GB for the $200 One vs 16GB for the $200 S4), and again, if I really needed more room, I have USB-OTG.

The US version 1. is not gimped and 2. isn't alone. 90% of the world is getting the Snapdragon.

Sure, and I have 64GB + 16GB in my phone right now, thanks to the sdcard. If I had a 64GB phone, I would have 128GB. And that's awesome.

USB OTG is ok,l but it's not a worthwhile solution to not having an sdcard.

I have like 12GB of music, 8GB of games and maybe 4GB in PSX game CD rips (for the ePSXe emulator) 2GB in PCM recordings of my lectures (though, yeah I can take them off, I generally forget and they build up.

If I had MORE room I'd put more music on and that'd give me a wider selection... but not having an sdcard slot is a major down for me. I was a HTC guy until the OneX.

You use 26GB. Good for you, you still haven't justified the need for an SD chip except for when the phone only offers a pitiful 16GB internal like yours does and uses the SD slot as a crutch...

I can fit all your things, twice, on my phone with no extra storage at all, and I can mount more storage, quicker and easier, with USB-OTG then you can with SD cards, and I don't even need it.

But ya, it's the other phones that are taking a step back. rolleyes.gif

I'm pretty sure this happen last year with the S3. My S3 was suppose to have a quad core but it has a qualcomm dual core. This really a surprise? Why do you need an 8 core phone? Hell 4 about useless.

Have you tried reading what the 4+4 core arch is all about? It is a quad core phone in that at any given time, only 4 cores are active. It switches between the slower, more power efficient cores for basic tasks and the faster ones for more intensive tasks.
Come on. The information is all over the internet. No need to bash the phone without facts...
