40 minutes is too short, people usually recommend at least 12 hours of testing to make sure it is stable. Try leaving it on overnight to test if your overclock is stable.

Not to discourage you...but the CPU really isn't worth OCing in a laptop. Yes, this is coming from the guy who used to run his N450 Atom at 2.0GHz. SetFSB works find if you can get a PLL match but ultimately, the juice isn't worth the squeeze for the most part once you get past the Atoms. If you are looking to speed things up for everyday none gaming use then look to using a different OS.

So, I read everything you told me to about the timing issue, tested, and the results are not what I expected. First of all, WinTimerTester gave me a 1.000 QPC/GTC ratio before and after the overclock(I tried different frequencies). Even though I had a good ratio, I still tried the fix, but no dice. And I still don't understand why the overclock only gives me problems when playing online multiplayer in black ops 2, because I have no problems with multiplayer with bots, or multiplayer in any other game, no problems with single-player, and no problems with any other games that I have tested.
Well, unless someday I manage to fix this, I guess I'm just gonna disable the oc when playing black ops 2 multiplayer. Anyways, thanks for all the support in my first thread thumb.gif

When you overclock with SetFSB or ClockGen, you are changing more than just the speed of your processor. You are changing the clock speed of everything. Your CPU might be quite happy with the overclock but other things that depend on this bus speed like your network card might be causing problems. It's impossible to say but at least your system clocks are running correctly after your overclock.
