Again, not a requirement anyway.

Intel CPU are technically APUs anyway you slice it.

You may not like it, but that changes nothing.
Support BUT NOT MAKE USE OF. Bloody hell

Intel gpu support opencl.

But there is a architectural differences between an amd apu and the hd4000 inside intel cpus

im not saying there isnt an architectural differnce.

clearly there is.

It does not however preclude intels cpus from being an APU.

They are.

"It doesn't opencl accelerate 7zip" is not a legitimate definition.

It does, dude. They AREN'T A FREAKING APU. Why don't you represent your facts to AMD?

i suggest you google APU and read the definition.

Intel cpus are ABSOLUTELY APUs,

For whatever reason they refuse to use the moniker.

Your personal feelings on the matter are not definitive.

They are.

I dont know if you can call them APU

AMD APUs have unique architecture, they have the AMD CPU modules, cache, and a discrete-class graphics processor, all on the same die, using the same bus. this allows for the use of graphics accelerators, such as OpenCL, with the integrated graphics processor.[19] AMD is intending to create a "fully integrated" APU. According to AMD, the APU will eventually feature 'heterogeneous cores' capable of processing both CPU and GPU work automatically, depending on the workload requirement.

3570k and the hd4000 dont have any connection between them if i am not mistaken but the apu have.

here is one deffinition:

"An APU integrates a CPU and a GPU on the same die thus improving data transfer rates between these components while reducing power consumption. APUs can also include video processing and other application-specific accelerators. Examples: Intel’s Sandy Bridge, AMD Fusion and NVIDIA’s Project “Denver”"

here is another:

"What is an APU? The term APU stands for Accelerated Processing Unit. At the moment, this is a term that only AMD is using for its products. Intel’s recently released update to its processors also qualifies as an APU; Intel simply seems unwilling to use the definition. That’s understandable, since the company has been known as the world’s leading CPU maker for years."

i rest my case...

we know intel got CPU+GPU on one die ( APUs if you like ) but they don't perform like an APU should ( sharing power between CPU-GPU-ram) and that is why we don't call them APUs let alone Intel themselves
