After 4 months 1st blue screen

Thread Starter
So I've been using this pc for 4 months now. I built it myself and today while i was playing cs go my pc got a bluescreen saying dxgmms1.sys. Anyone know what I should do?

Have you made any changes at all ? Any new hardware ? Software ? Have you overclocked anything ?

Everything I am reading indicates that this is a video card driver problem. There's no way for me to be sure of course, but that's what all the signs are pointing to. I would update the the latest non beta drivers and do a clean installation.

I think my Video card is dying on me even though i just got it last dec. I've been seeing random dots or like when I spike i see a line out of nowhere. No updates or new hardware so far.

Is it overclocked at all?

Sounds like it could be a direct X issue (DXgmms1.sys). Try reinstalling your video card drivers and direct X. If that doesn't fix it you might have a bad video card on your hands

I reinstalled m vid card and for some reason the weird lines that pops out of nowhere happens only in DOTA 2 but when I'm playing Path of Exile or CS GO it never happens.

Reinstall direct x and see if that fixes it. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17431

So I got a 2nd hand 5850 to replace my 7770. I use the driver online. No BSOD no crash no problems at all. I think I got the BETA driver from AMD thats why I had some problems. Since I move my 7770 to my bros i5 smile.gif) and it doesn't have any problem.
