Do you leave your laptop on at night, as in powered and running? I'd boot to windows and run some scans. Virus scans just because, hdd scans as well as a memory test. I've never heard of a computer "resetting" itself like that before, but the fact that keys are not working on your keyboard really leads me to believe you've got some hardware and/or electrical problems going on. I don't know that it'd help you any, but check the event viewer just to see if there's anything going on in there.
If you boot to windows, do your "broken" keys start working at all or are they still dead?
The thing is I can get into windows no problem, it's just most of the keys won't work.
Yes I left it on the in powered and running last night because I was defragging and running virus scanning
I also went into msconfig and turned some programs off that were marked unknown also, but i checked google before doing so to make sure they aren't important. the only one I could think of that was something called Vprotector application.... I was doing this because someone dled limewire on the laptop and I couldn't get rid of it, so I just stopped it from loading.
I be running all the scanner I can think and I'll check the event viewer but wouldn't that show nothing since the hhd was wiped clean?
