Graphic problems on a 82" dlp tv

So I'm experiencing some issues gaming on my DLP TV and I hope somebody can help me out. I have a Mitsubishi 82" 1080 p 3d TV and I seem to be getting a lot of lag and stuttering problems when I'm playing games. Here is a breakdown of my latest issue:

I've been playing Bioshock Infinite on my Asus monitor with 2 460's on a 6 core AMD phenom with the graphic presets set at high and it runs perfect. my DLP TV is hooked up to my main system which is 2 crossfired 5970s running on an Intel 980x. This is obviously a far more powerful system and yet I get very annoying graphic lag. it's hard to describe, the game is playable and it runs real smoothly but only for a couple seconds then I get a quick "jump" on the screen and then go back to being smooth again for another few seconds.

It also has nothing to do with how many objects or enemies are on screen. I can have a million things going on and it'll happen exactly the same way it happens when I'm in a plain boring room absolutely nothing going on that would cause a drop in frame rate.

Hello,

Do your cards have 1gb or 2gb effective Vram?

If its only 1gb could it be suffering from not enough Vram available? I can imagine ultra quality on 1080p need atleast 2gb for each card.

Both are 2gb dual GPU cards so I basically have 4 GPUs

You only have 1GB of usable vram which isn't enough for modern games. You have a ridiculous amount of GPU horsepower but it doesn't matter if you run out of memory.

Yes each card has 2gb. but each card also has 2gpu cores.

So each GPU core only has 1GB of Vram, and on 1080p you will get a memory bottleneck.

Just like Andym95 says, you have an incredible ammount of GPU Power, but not enough Memory on the GPU's to run Ultra Settings on 1080p
