Strange...
1. Clear CMOS and keep everything at stock
2. Start by raising the FSB, keeping every affected clock multi as close to stock as possible.
Suggestion. Set RAM divider to the previous one,and set the FSB to 250, and start from there.
3.Just raise RAM voltage one bit.
Report back.

Can't edit.
I assume the RAM you have runs at 1333? If yes, then I think that at around 1580 you hit a wall, meaning you have found the limit of the OCing capacity of the modules since you raise the FSB.

1600, and nothin. max ive gotten it to run was 1720 at a lower fsb. i have since gotten it to be to high for it to run, which is 1880 so i dropped it down a step to 1566, which is basically 1600. so the fsb is just waiting for the ram over and over right? 3:10.. so its just slamming data at dram 3x before action happens right?

NB is currently at 2350 1.3v (max safe from that guide)and HT is at 2580 1.25v -temps are all under 60 long load still.

hmmm so i can find maxes now. guess i need to learn how to balance each component to talk nice to each other.

btw if your doing this from mobile you can edit, this site selects the button on the first tap then sends on the second tap

Currently at work, not my sig rig. Crappy restrictions.
1. Lowering the divider gives room for raising the FSB higher, which means more stable system.
2. Don't worry about the ratio. It doesn't matter, because of the IMC. Latency is what you should
aim to change and make perfect. Timings are latencies. The lower (tighter), the better.
3. Lower the multipliers of CPU, NB and HT so as to run at a speed close to stock. Do the same for the voltages. Messing around with 2-3 settings all at once will get you with frustration and more problems to solve. Stick to fixing your RAM OC.

Cheap lower rated ram normally has mixed chips inside, which will definitely hinder their oc ability...Don't go nuts about it if it's 1600mhz rated, most 1600mhz sticks (except for the mentioned Samsung and Crucial ones) suck!

Ya they just aren't moving at all. I lowered the fsb to 215 which allows the ram at the 1720 999 I said earlier. Can't change one timing or voltage or I get no post. S is crucial ram king or what Ivan keeps insisting on them. I'll just come out and say it.

I need ram that will pull 2400 and the lowest timings possible.
Also has to allow me to overclock it unlike what I'm dealing with now.
Also has to comply with a lot of mobos as I will most likely move to asus later

So far I'm still loving the plats 2133 1.5v and I guess some version of crucial is now on the table

Samsung magic doesn't interest me
I've always had a bad feeling about gskill so I want to stay away this time
I like light up ram, avexir, tracers, plats but not a deal breaker

So anyone got any product link suggestions? It's daytime now people should be getting up

All the stuff posted above is Hynix inside, which likes loose timings and high mhz, so not your cup of tea for performance on AMD platform. Good for very high 3ghz validations only...
Crucial sticks like the ones I mentioned can tighten violently say cl8 at 2400mhz, so they are ideal for AMD and they need voltage for that, which an AMD rig has no problem in delivering whilst running safely.

Have you read the thread I posted before? It shows results with those Crucial sticks and explains how to get the good ones.
Here goes again: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?285545-Meet-the-new-Spartans..err-Ballistix!

Also, ram brands are not really important. What's essential is the chips they have inside which the manufacturer won't tell, so you gotta figure it out.
Check the ocn ram addict club thread in my sig, there you can see a few tables with how to figure out the insides of most popular brands. (g.skill and corsair are there)
What you want normally is ram rated for 2000mhz or higher, with certain exceptions like the Crucials and generic Samsung which isn't binned at all and it's a crapshoot. Binned low rated chips will suck ad eternum like yours man.

EDIT: Get one or two sets, and be ready to return the sucky ones btw...They go for 69usd at the Egg currently.
