If no has mentioned it yet, try an updated BIOS if your current one is an older version. That might clear up the temp diode wackiness.

And yeah... TAT... blah, blah, blah, wonderful, blah, blah, blah, the best...

but the consensus has validity.

If tat shows temps that are way different and a bios update dosn't fix the temp sensor how do I get past the mobo shuting down the system to overclock it?

RMA the Mobo.

Sorry for being glib, but I would not consider bypassing or disabling any thermal protection measures.... just in case.

Probably not what you want to hear. Sorry. A 5-6C variance is tolerable, but yours is way outta whack.

I don't know if any one has suggested this or not...Check the temp in bios, that will give you a better idea of temps...I think TAT reads higher then other software...Trust your bios temp more then the other software monitors...And do you have your loop bled good, no little bubbles in the lines I hope that will make it run hot to...

The temps Ive given are from BIOS does that make them more likely to be reliable? And my lines are well bled I spent 2 days just doing that.

If it ends up being a mobo fault I think i might return it and get a different model. Alot of people suggested the p5w i think. I just got this because I couldn't find the p5w. and it had 6 raid ports. Are there any others out there? I like asus but I'm not agianst geting another brand if it comes with less probles and more useful features.

Also anyone try'ed the new nvidia chipset?

OK just ignore some of these questions if they seen simple I just have to ask...

Do you have fans on your rad? And is the rad positioned where it gets plenty of air flow?

Are you running your tubing res-pump-rad-cpu-any other blocks..

Are you absolutely certain none of the tubing is kinked any where...

Is your WB seating right? When you take it off does it look like the AS5 is spread evenly?

Thats all I can think of right now...

You are likely using too much thermal paste..
Or not seating the block right...

So clean off the black and CPU with isporyll alchahol, Put on a TINY RICE SIZED blob of AS5, Making sure there arent any stickers or anything in between, and try again....
