[TR] Google Glass will SELF-DESTRUCT if flogged on eBay

Buyers of Google Glass have been warned they cannot sell their pricey new techno-spectacles on eBay or anywhere else.

In terms of sale posted on its website, the advertising giant said a Google Glass was for life, unless you wanted to give it away for nothing. Anyone who failed to follow the rules will have their devices remotely shut down.

I hope this is just a joke. If not, this is the most retarded thing Google has done so far.

This is a practice I wont like from Google.

I will eventually update my glass, and I will want to make some of that back from resale of my old glass.

This is probably a response to yesterday when someone who tried to sell a pair of Google Glass(es?) on eBay (they weren't one of the people that got them, just someone who was getting some from an unknown source). It got up to $90,000 before it was taken off.

Still, I don't understand their stance on this. If I pay for something out of my hard earned money, it's only fair that I get some of it back should I come to sell it for any reason. If they were giving them away for free and enforced this, maybe it'd be different.

I'll just wait for a reasonable 3rd party seller who will let me use them the way I choose. This forced brand loyalty thing is getting old and way out of hand, make a good product and it will sell there is no reason companies should be forcing people to sign their rights away with a product or service other than greed and control.
